The two sessions from the MSDN Orlando Code Camp that I captured are now available.

  1. Developing Custom Modules Using Code Generation and Freely Available Tools
  2. Real-World DotNetNuke Skinning Using ASCX User Controls

I decided that a face-lift was in order for the website before I started sending real traffic to the site. The communications background kept me from putting a site out that wasn't properly branded - but I think the week was well worth the wait. The videos are both free to registered members - so enjoy!

If you like the skin that we used for the example for Real-World Skinning, it is available for sale at a nominal fee.

Do you know if you are going to have any videos on module creation using VS .NET 2005 using the DNN template for asp.net 2.0 (the .vsi)? I didn't watch the video because I saw it was using codesmith and jungle. I thought I had seen that on another video from dotnetnuke.com and that it was the older version. Sorry, if I am wrong on this. Thanks.

At this point, I am still developing in VS.NET 2003 for Professional Modules so that I can support both platforms - the 3.x modules run in 4.x since everything is pretty well backwards compatible.

Having said that, I am working with VS2K5 and getting familiar with it now - but I don't plan on doing a video until I am totally comfortable with it. Thanks for your feedback, though.
