Events Module

My site is setup with a portal skin and the gray default skin for the admin.  I've placed an Event Module on one of my pages located here: http://libertytulsa.org.s29.dotnetsql.com/EVENTS/tabid/61/Default.aspx

However, when you click one of the events (Example: Wednesday Night Live) it displays the details for the events with the gray default skin which is only suppose to be for the editing through the admin login.

Plus which document would I need open go about resizing the module from its current width of 400px to about 650px.

Re: Events Module

It's a "known behavior" that when navigating to another view control of a module that the portal will use the admin skin. It is, unfortunately, something the core team has decided to poo-poo as not a problem. It is, therefore, "one of those things" that you have to know and have to deal with - so you will need to assign your admin skin as one that works for different views of your controls.

To edit the style of the events module, you can either edit the module.css that is in your /desktopmodules/events/module.css - or you could use that as a template and override it in your skin.css. Just make sure you look at the styles defined in module.css as some of those he overrides any other styles by using the !important tag.

Thanks,

Re: Events Module

Plus is there anyway to setup or any other modules out there that would allow the subpages like the youth section to have its own events module.  And show only the events concering the youth.  But also have a page with a global events module which would show all the events going on and maybe also pull events from Micosoft Outlook.

Re: Events Module

Great question. You are limited here because of the behavior that I explained before.
